An Update is a report that either corrects a previous STP Report (see Fixing Errors) or is used at EOY to send through Final Indicators for the Payees. You cannot report Payments with an Update, you can however report RESC, RFBT etc. If in doubt consult the ATO website.

If reporting an Update, ensure there is a tick in the check box highlighted below. W1 and W2 will be set to Zero. You cannot report a Full File Replacements when reporting an Update.
