Install STP Creator or Uninstall


New Installation

  1. Download the latest version from our Download page
  2. Run the downloaded Setup file – this will install the latest version with a desktop icon.



Update

  1. Download the latest Update from our Updates page
  2. Run the downloaded Setup file – this will install the latest version with a desktop icon.




Installation Issues

In some cases the installation/Update may fail due to permission issues. If installation/update fails, try to right click on the Setup file and select 'Run as administrator'. If this option is not available on your system, this usually means you need to get your IT person to perform the installation for you.



Uninstall

If you are having problems installing or Un-installing STP Creator 2, follow these steps to clean up your system with regard to STP Creator



  1. Go to your Downloads Folder and delete any files that start with STP_CreatorR2_Setup’ such as STP_CreatorR2_SetupUpgrade.exe or STP_CreatorR2_SetupUpgrade (1).exe etc
  2. Un-install STP Creator 2 using Settings > Apps & Features – if STP Creator 2 appears more than once, un-install each entry.
  3. Check any older versions of STP Creator 2 has been uninstalled completely by checking that the C:\Program Files (x86)\Namich\STP_Creator2 folder has been deleted. If not delete it manually. Note: this is the earlier application folder and should only contain installed application files. If you have stored your data set file(s), licence file(s) or backups etc in this location, do not delete those files, instead move them to a more suitable location. .lis files or proxyconfig.txt files should not be deleted - contact Namich for guidance here.
  4. Check any current versions of STP Creator 2 has been uninstalled completely by checking that the C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Namich\STP_Creator2 folder has been deleted. If not delete it manually. Note 1: AppData is a hidden folder, if it does not appear, change your view settings to show hidden items. Note2: this is the application folder and should only contain installed application files. If you have stored your data set file(s), licence file(s) or backups etc in this location, do not delete those files, instead move them to a more suitable location. .lis files or proxyconfig.txt files should not be deleted - contact Namich for guidance here.
  5. Check any STP2_Creator2 desktop icon has been deleted – if not delete it.
  6. Download the latest Update from our Download page
  7. Run the downloaded Setup file – this will install the latest version with a desktop icon.
