Multiple Licences
Most users will only ever need one STP Creator Licence as most users report for just one business. If however you are responsible for STP Reporting for multiple entities, you may need Multiple Licences. Each Data Set file is linked to a specific Licence.
Where a user has Multiple Licences, we recommend as follows:
- Rename each licence to help identify which Payer it belongs to, for example change 'STP_R1_licence.lic' to 'STP_R1_licence_PayerA.lic'. You can change the file name in any way you prefer, however do not change the file extension - it should remain as .lic
- Save each licence in the default licence location (Documents\STP_Creator\Licence). Or you can create sub folders to store each licence file and Data Set file for each business you have a licence for. When creating a Data Set file for a Payer, use the Browse 2 button select the Licence for that particular Payer. Repeat the same for other businesses you report for.
- As you open each Data Set file, STP Creator will switch to the relevant Licence. Some Licences may have different Payee limits to others. If you attach a new licence to a Data Set file with a different payee limit, you will be notified with a pop-up message, for example:

- If you upgrade a Licence or change the location of the Licence file, you can update this on the Permanent Data Set screen using the Browse 2 button.
