Moving to a new computer

If you need to move STP Creator to a new computer, this is what we suggest:

• Download STP Creator from our website and install on the new computer. Run STP Creator once, then close it. This will create the default file locations on the new computer.
• You may need to copy 3 or 4 files from the old computer to the new        computer. If you are not sure where these files are located, see the 2 images below. These show where the current Data Set file, Licence file, MYOB file and Keystore file is located.
• Copy your Data Set file from the old computer to the new computer - Save in your preferred location.
• Copy the licence file from the old computer to the new computer. The default location is in your Documents > STP_Creator_2 > Licence folder.
• Copy your MYOB file from the old computer to the new computer - Save in your preferred location.
• If using SBR, copy your Keystore file from the old computer to the new computer - Save in your preferred location - we recommend the Licence folder. Note that default installation location is
  C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Roaming\ATOMAS.
• Start STP Creator. When you run STP Creator, until you have opened a Data set file, you will not automatically be prompted to log into a Data Set file - this is normal. Once STP Creator starts, use the '1. Load Settings from Data Set file' button to open the Permanent Data Set screen and then use Browse 1 to locate your Data Set file copied to this computer.
• Once you have logged into the Data Set file, STP Creator will try to open the Licence file which is linked at Browse 2. If that licence file cannot be found in it's original location, STP Creator will switch to Demo mode and you may see an message about re-linking the Data Set file to the Licence file. Click Browse 2 and select the Licence file on this computer. This will re-link the Data Set file to the Licence file on this computer. Once linked, STP Creator should switch back to Registered mode.  You only need to do this once.
• You now need to re-link the Data Set file to the MYOB file on this computer. (Skip if not using a MYOB company file). Click Browse 3 and locate the MYOB file.
• If using SBR, update the SBR Settings screen for the new Keystore location using Browse 1. Select Keystore Identity and enter Keystore password.
• You should now be set to use STP Creator on the new computer.
